All three are fairly sharp though -- they seem to rely on slight woody notes (Avignon = cedar/moss; Heeley = Peppery vetiver; Montale = cedar) to get their effect -- sharp woods with some smoky material. Olibanum (frankincense EO) is a softer, smoother smell. For example, if you smell Norma Kamali, it's much less sharp than these and relies on natural materials.
I'd love to know the actual composition of Avignon and Full Incense (Cardinal is a bit soapy to me) -- Jovoy Paris's La Liturgie des Heures and Sonoma Scent's Incense Pure are also getting similar effects.
