    Summer Fragrance Choice

    Hey guys,

Brand new Basenoter here. I am on a budget and am currently deciding between fragrances to round out what I currently have for summer (Dior Homme Sport, D&G Light Blue Pour Homme, ADG). I am deciding between:

    - Versace Pour Homme

    - YSL L'homme

    - Guerlain Homme

I work in a steel fabricating facility and am currently working on using the D&G and ADG up in that hot and humid environment (not a huge fan of either of them), and I'm looking for something that will work alongside DHS for a more refined and interesting summer frag.

I realize I'm not giving you a lot to work with but would love to hear your thoughts.

Versace Pour Homme and YSL L'homme are both great choices, can't go wrong with either. For summer specifically I would probably grab the Versace more often than the YSL. However, the beauty of the YSL is it's versatility because you can wear it all year round.

If you haven't smelled it, go smell them and you will know which one you would like to wear.

    cwu,

What makes you go for the Versace over L'homme?

I have smelled them both and like them both a lot.

YSL L'homme or Guerlain Homme would be fine choices IMO.

Versace Pour Homme is more of a citrus based fragrance which I enjoy in the warmer months. Although there is citrus in YSL it is more of a Woody Spicy Floral Musk which smells amazing as well :)

    @JiveHippo,

Why GH over the other ones?

I've heard there are longevity/projection issues with it.

I'd go with L'homme, I really enjoy the ginger and its fresh and light, lasts quite well on my skin too.

I think L'homme may be what I'm leaning toward. I think I want something that's a bit more interesting than just fresh/citrusy/aquatic. Plus I love the apple note in it.

It is my preference of the ones you listed, it smells best to me. I think it's the most unique of the bunch, and strays the furthest from the ones you already have. I don't have longevity issues with it. L'homme has the longevity issues.

Guerlain Homme : i have no longevity issues with it. I do however with Versace pour homme.

Update: I went with L'homme and I'm definitely digging it. I got a sample of Versace Pour homme and I like it, but it died off within 3 hours of wear.

I know some have said L'homme is not for the hotter temps, but with 2 sprays I get great projection and longevity with no cloying.

Anyway, thanks for the suggestions guys!
