I have three main hobbies: Writing. Photography. And, of course, this. I not only collect perfume, I dabble at making perfume. I've been more active on the forum lately because my camera is in the shop. 6 to 8 weeks. GAH!!! Here's an example of my photography. I shoot mostly urban fragments, and I'm on a black & white kick right now.
Those aren't my best... just a few random shots.
Interestingly, my approach to photography is similar to my approach to perfume. I've often said that I don't care if a perfume is designer or niche, bargain bin or $300+... All I care about is how it smells and how it wears. The nose knows... Well, I have the same approach to photography. If it looks good to me, I take the shot, even if what I'm shooting won't make sense to anyone else. In fact, I like to teach people photography (not that I'm an expert. CLEARLY, I am not). The rule I preach time and time again is "Trust your eyes." See it. Shoot it. Don't even stop to debate. Trust your eyes.
