I noticed today that there are literally dozens of these for sale right now. They're all without a box so I assume testers but surely all the reps cant be offloading their testers so regularly. Does Tom Ford have an outlet or something in the UK where these can be picked up from?

Never heard of an outlet.   In fact in House of Fraser which sells the brand they actually have a notice which says.   Customers May Only Buy 3 Bottles At One Time!!!!!!!!!!!!!!    I nearly PMSL reading it, never ever seen that one before.

Huh? I'm looking for some Tuscan Leather and can only see a couple of top price 50ml on offer at present. Please direct me if I'm missing something?

These have a RRP of around £140 but most sell for around the £70 mark. Therefore they're either

    a) stolen goods

    b) samples being resold

    c) outlet stock

Most come without boxes which normally indicates they're samples but you do get the same at outlets. Tom Ford fragrances are part of Estee Lauder who operate The Cosmetic Company outlet shops. I've visited the one in York but they never had any Tom Ford for sale. It was mainly MAC make up.

I noticed this when I was looking for some NP to buy. After a thread here recently, I had a look yesterday for some Italian Cypress. I'll sample that scent first and if I like it, will get a bottle from the bay. The prices are ridiculously cheap, given what these retail for in the stores. If they are coming from an outlet, I'm sure someone on BN will sniff this one out (pun very much intended!!) pretty soon.

Has anyone got any experience from these sellers? Specifically for TF private blend range?

Thanks for the links flasher. I think the issue was that I'd underestimated the retail cost of such things eek.gifredface.gif

I've purchased a couple to test some of the more less rated of the range. I normally just jump for the 250ml bottles as it works out better per £/ml but if its something I'll hate I'd sooner give it a miss.

No problem. They are stupidly priced in the shops for such a low volume.

I hope so. If these are selling for around the £70 mark you'd have to assume the seller is getting them for the £40-50 mark maximum.

Don't forget that the seller has to give eBay 10% of the final selling price and then another two or three percent to paypal........

Exactly. Sellers are getting these very cheap. It would be very useful to all on here to work out just how or where they're getting them from. They cant ALL be unwanted gifts or sales reps offloading stock.

No idea, but is it possible that they may be non-compliant old stock?

    Or fakes?

Must be fakes if nobody's had one.

I've had a Lys Fume and a Ombre de Hyacinth and they were both genuine. There's also quite a few of the new range out (Shanghai Lily, Fleur de Chine etc) and I doubt the counterfeiters would gear up so quickly for untested fragrances. There's also LOADS of Black Orchid without boxes which says to me there's an outlet somewhere selling these.
