    Hey guys,

I'm planning on buying Jaipur Homme EdP and take it with me on holiday. The only available EdP bottle is a 100ml bottle. Will there be a risk if I put it in my suitcase? I don't want it to break and get all of my clothes soaked with it.

Do you guys take precautions when carrying a fragrance in a suitcase? Tips are welcome!

Carry on or checked bag? If carry on just put it in your one quart baggy I HIGHLY recommend   the heavy duty zipper ones though for heavier stuff -  if in checked bag, just put it in a leak proof bag wrap it in a t-shirt or something and nestle it in the center of your clothes

I'm not sure what you mean with checked bag, but I mean a big suitcase which carries all your clothes and stuff and will be put in the bottom of the plane.

A leak proof bag sounds good... but can you buy these? Or do I just use a plastic bag?

That's a checked bag the one/s that go/goes in baggage not in the main cabin with you

I agree, place it in a checked-bag and it will be fine. Just make sure to either wrap it in clothes as has been suggested above, or in your washbag with plenty of padding around it so that it doesn't knock against other bottles (glass, metal, etc).

What exactly do you mean with a leak proof bag. Do you mean an ordinary plastic bag to put in your groceries? Or is it some sort of special bag?

I've traveled with perfumes in my suitcase (checked luggage) all my life.
Yeah it's leaked a few times I assume because of pressure.

I always put them in sandwich bags (zip loc). So of there's a leak, it won't spoil my clothes.

I would advise decanting into small atomiser bottles (readily available on eBay and the like - 10ml or 20ml) and put them inside a plastic zip-loc bag. Wrap the bag in clothing and try to keep it in the middle of your suitcase.

Don't fill the bottles up to the top so if there is a change in pressure they shouldn't leak. If there is any leakage it will be contained in the bag and not soaked up by your clothes and if your luggage goes AWOL you won't lose full bottles of your favourite frags.

    Good luck!

Place in decant or atomiser, and then place in a plastic bag just in case the decant breaks. That should do it.

No offense, but this much work really isn't necessary, I fly A LOT, and long distances, just keep it with you, in a heavy duty ziplock or plastic zipper bag in your carry on and it will be fine and no chance of losing it unless you yourself mislay your carry on some how or go nuts and slam it into a wall or something - I have never had an original bottle leak - I HAVE had a decant  leak but just once. On that note - gel pens WILL leak, even explode, ball points only unless you want an inky mess someday. I had it happen twice until a Flight attendant  told me to NEVER use gel pens on planes - just plain old ball points, since then never a leaky pen.
