Hello. This is my first thread here in Basenotes.

I would like to know about Mon numeros from L'Artisan parfumeur. Are they any good? I haven't been able to sample any of those and there really isn't much reviews about those either.

I mostly intrested about Mon numero 4. Is it some new variation of fougere or just lavender with leather?

I have all 8 Mon Numeros that have been released. Of these I enjoy 3, 9, & 10. These are hard to come by now, especially in bottles.

The only on released in Dubai is no.8 I think. The lemony one.

Nice if that's what you're after.

    Hednic, please tell some more...

Hedonist, "nice" doesn't sound very tempting. Is it just nice or very good?

    NUMBER 3
A number like the young adults, full of life, passion and character. The excitement of the early years with a start fusing and recalling a heady liquor, but also manly, dark and sensual side of vetiver for the refined man.
    Lavender, Iris, Vetiver

    NUMBER 9
Awaken your senses with a full breath of invigorating freshness with a modern interpretation of the famous Cologne. A typical start: zesty green and slightly tart you euphorise before surprising you with a sustained first by the shiso leaf, then by resinous notes provide a sharp contrast sophistication.
    Citron leaves Rhubarb

NUMBER 10 might still be found at Barneys in NY since they were the ones to have exclusive rights to that number.

They are on sale on the L'Artisan official site sale.   The UK one, had a few different ones at half price earlier in the week.

Noticed that, but unfortunately doesn't help people in the US as people here have to use the US L'Artisan site for purchases and products shipped to them and they're not listed there as available on the US site.

I think the OP might be in Europe. Whether L'Artisan could ship outside the UK is another question, on account of the ridiculous postage rules currently in force.

The French site is showing that numbers 3, 4 and 8 are in the sale.

I had already inquired a while back. They don't.

These must be really rare. Usually there is some note-by-note-breakdowns, but not about these. Maybe they are just so simple that there isn't much to talk about?

Well, I'll find it out soon. I ordered numbers 3 and 4. (Yes, from L'Artisan sale. I'm from Europe as you guessed.)

I was a quite wary blind buying these L'Artisans, because last four from this house I have bought has't been for my liking. Maybe I'm just stupid and don't learn, but I was getting worried that I wouldn't get chance to smell these. I even had a dream that they were sold out forever and not available anymore.

Does anyone know if they are going to end the line of Mon numeros?

As I understand it they were country specific Limited Editions.

We had No. 8 here in HK and I recall it as a slightly chilly but very high quality Iris driven piece. Hedonist describes it differently so maybe his take on it is different or possibly the Dubai / Middle Eastern one he tried was actually a different number.

Re: not finding note breakdowns etc. These are anything but 'simple' - like some earlier seasonal Ltd Editions from L'Artisan they were featuring high qual ingredients and only made in limited numbers, essentially collectors items.

Either way - well worth tracking down if you can and there are plenty of interesting L'Artisans worth a look. It's rumoured that Hong Kong might have a standalone L'Artisan store this year, which would be fantastic . . . the current stockist only has a handful of the more popular ones and I am very keen to buy a bottle of Seville a l'Aube (after hedonist left me with a generous decant when he visited HK).

Are these current Mon numeros same perfumes that orginal ones that cost thousands? Are they cheaper versions of them?

How unisex would you say number 8 is?

Dropped by Barneys yesterday before leaving NYC, and they still had MN 10 in stock.

I bought No 8 in France in the sales and to my unexperienced notes it is a lovely very feminin powerdy iris. I love to wear it at night to calm me down when I'm stressed.
