Thanks for the recommendations, guys!
M_T: I own L'Air du Desert Marocain and have a bottle of Interlude on it's way.
I went through a lot sampling before ordering these fragrances, and in some ways, find them somewhat similar in the dry down.
Do you get any similarities?
Duke: I have a sample of Ambra Mediterranea and will have to revisit it. I have a bit of trouble getting a good feel for the real nature of a fragrance from the samples that come with dabber sticks instead of sprays. Maybe I need to invest in a larger spray sample.
L'Homme: Royal Oud by Creed? Will have to check that out as well as Hednic's suggestion: Darley.
Ken: Haven't heard of Eau d'Orient. Sounds interesting and definitely has spices
Brian: I've tried Ambre Precieux, but really prefer it's oudy cousin, Ambre Dore a bit more. Have sampled Ambre 114, but need to revisit. Have been thinking about Blue Amber ever since acquiring and really enjoying Patchouli Leaves. My usual on-line fragrance store is out of stock.
Again, many thanks, guys.
H: Have to agree that one never really knows until one's sampled. :-)
Ambre Sultan was a really good reminder of how a scent can click in ways that are unexpected and deeply emotional. This type eureka moment will keep me searching.
