Some certainly do. Often people will actually go to the pub specifically to watch a sporting event and will stay and celebrate afterwards. It is usually more for team events (football, rugby, etc) but yesterday was rather special and I think most of the country got caught up in it. In Murray's home town the news channels had footage showing wild scenes of celebration in all the local pubs, and I imagine many others up and down the country will have been the same.
