Excuse my ignorance, but in Britain, after a major sporting event like this past Sunday, do people go out to pubs to celebrate the victory in spirit?

Some certainly do. Oftenpeople will actually go to the pub specificallyto watch a sportingevent and willstay andcelebrateafterwards. Itis usually more for team events (football, rugby, etc)but yesterday was rather special and I think most of the country got caught up in it. In Murray's home town the news channels had footage showing wild scenes of celebration in all the local pubs, and Iimagine many others up and down the country will have been the same.

Not nearly as much as we did when the Lions beat the Wallabies on Saturday. It has been a good weekend.

Absolutely... glued to the telly... all lost our voices yelling at the TV... raised a glass later to him. Plenty of hard work and dedication from him and many others behind that success..
