After I read that Slumberhouse Ore is going to be available at parfum1, I just go in and order a sample of it and picked some others worth total of ~$40

I proceed to check out, type in shipping details and found out that they don't ship to Thailand.

So I proceeded to luckyscent, pick some samples up. (in the next section)

For a total of $107... (And they ship to Thailand, yeaaa!!)
Unfortunately, They have no Ore sample.
Is it normal for you guys to buy a lot of samples like this? I have never done anything like this before.
(Hope someone out there ever done this. I just want to make sure i'm not a freak, lol)
Edit : It's Slumberhouse Ore, not Grev
*End of the old story here*

(26/07/2013 added quick sniff impression. I'm just a beginner in fragrances so don't expect much)

(29/07/2013 added more)

I rubbed 4 ~ 6 fragrances when I got home, write down the opening. 4 hours later I write down the drydown. then I shower and do it again with different frags. write down those opening, write down the dry down when I wake up. Here are the results.

Le Labo Rose 31 :
Rose is so dominating with base of vetiver and maybe cedar? I'm sure oud is there but it's so light, almost undetectable. Love it! (snatched by my mom)
Le Labo Jasmin 17 :
Jasmine! obviously... I get so much vanilla here, almost at the same level of jasmine, playing its scent in the background... a little bit of amber and sandalwood... too feminine to me. Will try wearing it once if I have got a chance. Really like it. this too, snatched by my mom.
Puredistance 1 :
This, by far, the one that wows me so much. Orange, Rose, Jasmine, Neroli. these 4 notes just hit me at the same time. well done!
I picked this up thinking my GF would love it, darn it, I won't give her a sniff!!
By Kilian Incense Oud :
Incense! Oud! like it's name. pretty sure there are rose and pink pepper there. A littttttttttle bit of patchouli. Nicely done! In love with it!
Parfums MDCI Invasion Barbare :
I seriously hate its ginger note here. Just ruined lavender, vanilla, grapefruit and bergamot in there. Take that ginger note out and you're good to go for me IB. This is a great scent, wonderfully made by the way.
My father who's not even care for frags gave this one a sniff. He said "How much does it cost for a FB"
Amouage Lyric for Men :
Blast of incense followed by fresh rose. sweet vanilla there. bergamot, lime? I got nutmeg and sandalwood here, iris?(not really sure about this one) oppoponax?
I sniffed this one so long because there's something bothers me there. and yes. it's a ginger note. pretty sure.
great scent! I like it. I could ignore that ginger in this juice.
Amouage Dia Man :
Incense and vetiver. bit of leather, ylang? and... amber?
I need to give this one a time. couldn't sniff this up well.
Plum is there but subtle. sharp bitter orange(?).
This is safe to wear. fresh and masculine. somewhat classic.
Amouage Gold Man :
Musk, jasmine, amber and incense?
too musky for me. still one of the best musk scent I ever sniffed.
Amouage Silver Man :
Softer version of Gold Man? I could pick rose and jasmine easily out this one. I prefer this over Gold Man.
Amouage Reflection Man :
Ooooo I love this! Jasmine, Neroli, Sandalwood and Rose really blends well together. There's some 'Hot' note to it, I couldn't tell what is it, giving an edge to this one. This one wows me. Thumbs up!
Amouage Memoir Man :
Beautiful incense. Mint and basil gives it a sharp fresh feeling. Sandalwood is there since the beginning. mild smoky tobacco.
I can smell vanilla in the dry down. very complex. very pleasing.
Amouage Interlude Man :
NO, just no. I can smell incense from it. There's amber. Bergarmot and Oud. but somehow this is not what I expected back when I do a research on it. I just don't like it.
Atelier Cologne Oolang Infini :
Sweetened hot black tea. jasmine and bergarmot flowing in. some kind of wood in it. It's good, but I'm sure there're better.
Atelier Cologne Rose Anonyme :
Another rose-oud combo frag. but there is ginger in it. in the way I don't like. sorry.
By Kilian Back to Black :
Wow! Honey hits me first, followed by tobacco and vanilla. with some kind of berry scent in it. So sweet, but not cloying. Tonka? uhmmm amber?. darn my amateur nose. this one is to complex for me to pick up anything else, there're a lot of notes going on. That smokey tobacco gets me well. Love it
Comme des Garcons 2 MAN :
Yes, incense! but why do aldehyde is so dominating to my nose like this. If I want Aldehyde so much I would go for Chanel No.5.
Comme des Garcons Series 3: Incense Avignon :
Dark feeling incense. Church. Some spices in it. Sharp. Wow.
Comme des Garcons Series 3: Incense Kyoto :
I could pick out coffee clearly from this one. some patchouli and amber as well. a note which I assume it's cypress (not sure, haven't smell a lot of cypress yet) a sweet and smoother version of Avignon. easier to wear. Nice.
Diptyque Philosykos - Eau de Parfum :
This one strikes me. Wow, just, wow.
I never smell something like this. It's greeny and woody. The only notes I can pick it out is coconut. Absolutely stunning.
Penhaligons Hammam Bouquet :
Dried rose scent on the opening playing with lavender. Musky. Fresh bergarmot but not sharp ones. sweetened by jasmine. sandalwood. One of the best rose scent IMO.
Penhaligons Endymion :
Going to be my signature soon. Classic masculine yet modern type frag to my nose. Opens with fresh bergamot+lavender combo with some leather. Orange is clearly there. dries down to more woody(sandalwood), peppery(pink pepper?), sweet and soft. with incense in the background.
I have done full wearing on this. Logetivity is not great on my skin. I got around 6~8 hours on this one. Not much sillage. good for office. Lovely.
Atelier Cologne Vanille Insensee :
The same vanilla on Imaginary Authors Memoirs of a Trespasser. but with fresh citrus notes not boozy like MoaT. A little woody.
I'm kinda new to Vanilla frags, can anyone recommend me some to try out? thanks =)
Diptyque Tam Dao :
Opening with rose(subtle), cypress(?) and sandalwood. the sandalwood notes are there since the beginning till the dry down. Rose slowly fades away, amber comes with musk. Best sandalwood scent I ever tried!
Diptyque Eau Rose :
Ever pick up fresh red rose in the morning? THAT'S IT! there're so many notes going on but they're all just to give you that realistic fresh rose scent. Sexy. Masterpiece.
Tauer Perfumes Incense Extreme :
Sharp peppery notes hits me. Along with sharp dry incense. slowly amber comes up. I hardly see myself wearing this. Not my type of incense somehow.
Tauer Perfumes Incense Rose :
Sharp and dry incense again. with sharp citrus. rose is not dominating here. This is better than previous one. Nice one.
Edit#2 : I got samples and I have a quick sniff of them.
