To clarify for the O.P., just in case he's unfamiliar: There are three versions of M7 (not including M7 Fresh which is an entirely different scent). All are quite good.
The original is in a brown bottle.
The first reformulation is in a mostly clear bottle with a brown side.
The second reformulation (in other words, the third version of M7) is called M7 Oud Absolu and comes in a completely different bottle.
Lots of people complain about the M7 Oud Absolu bottle, but I like it.
By the way... if anybody knows where I can find a cap for my vintage M7... hook a brother up!!!!!
Anyway... all three versions of M7 are excellent. I prefer the vintage, but some prefer the reformulation because it's less powdery (I don't get powder from M7, but google it and you'll see that some people do). M7 Oud Absolu is really good, but it's missing the hint of a burnt smell my vintage M7 has. I don't know why, but I really love that smell - at least, in this context.
Bottom line: smell it! If you like it, you're good! Enjoy.
