I'm looking for something fresh (aquatic like), young/modern/cool, citrusy, yet mysterious with a bit a spice and depth to it. Does such a hybrid creature even exist? Please give me any recomandations that even remotely fit this criteria.
A few more suggestions that aren't Bleu de Chanel:
The One Gentleman (not fresh like an aquatic, but sort of mysterious, dark, and youthful)
Armand Basi PH (think Armani Code mixed with Le Male, but better)
Joop Homme Wild (fresh grapefruit, berries, rum and light suede - an improved take on the 1 Million theme)
Michael Storer Djin (metallic freshness in the best way, over a mysterious soapy dirty/clean musk base)
Thanks for all these numerous suggestions, I will try to experience at least a few of these. I have Dreamer, and its a bit of a love/hate thing with that one. Its a puzzling scent in a positive way, but also to me, its a bit cloying and artificial and lastly, a tad too feminine. No spice to speak of in that one. Recently, I've purchased L'Instant de Guerlain, thinking it would fit the bill, but was left a little dissapointed, especially with the way it smells at the outset (too much generic aftershave smell) , although, I did mistakenly order the after shave if that makes a difference from the EDT. I also have a sample of Gucci Pour Homme and I dislike it. The projection and longevity are great but its burning hot and reminds me too much of a smell in a Church during high mass. Perhaps it is wax candles or those spices (myrrh I think) that they put in that swinging mini chandelier apparatus....lol, its been a while and my church knowledge is definitely getting rusty.
