I personally find Edition Blanche more interesting. To me, Bleu is too much of a typical masculine citrus. This is why I think many people call if generic.
Some several people above mentioned, you can`t find an exact replica of Edition Blanche or Bleu. Here`s a list of some, which fall in the citrus category and are quite nice in my opinion.
1. Maison Francis Kurkjian - Amyris
I find the opening almost identical with Edition Blanche. After that Amyris evolves into an iris fragrance but it lacks the nostalgia iris usually brings out.
2. Versace - Versace pour Homme
It opens with a very nice tarty lemon. Very safe to wear anywhere.
3. Heeley - Oranges & Lemons
Fresh orange and lemon on top; it dries down very nicely and elegantly to a refined tea note. Not sweet at all and definitely one notch above all of the above.
4. Acqua di Parma - Essenza di Colonia
I find it very heavy on the neroli. Closer to Bleu than to Edition Blanche. Its Italian character is definitely present.
5. Acqua di Parma - Colonia
This is the classic. Very nice but may find it a little less modern.
6. Parfumerie Generale - PG07 Colone Grande Sicle
This is an all natural fragrance, which has a great smelling citrus (lemon). It`s sad it doesn`t last very long but it is great while you can smell it.
The list is not exhaustive but I hope it helps to get you started.
