Montale fragrance through Fragrance.net - Ripoff or not?

Weird....I bought Aoud Lime for Fragrance.net.....got the bottle and it's this short 4-5 inch canister of fragrance, maybe two inches wide and I'm suppose to believe it has 100mls? PLUS it feels like it's only half full ! Does BNers that own a Montale fragrance look and feel this way? I called them and they said ALL of the Aoud lime bottles are this way! What? 92 dollars and they're all this way? I asked if all of the Montale bottles are like this, for instance, the Black oud, she said she wouldn't know until I tried to order it...

Is this a ripoff or normal? Idk.....

It's normal. There was a thread the other day about this...

Montale uses aluminum for their bottles. Its a very light material.

With any perfume, the bottle far outweighs the liquid. So when you pick up the bottle all the weight you feel is from the bottle.

If you'd like, you can unscrew the atomizer and transfer the liquid to something else and you'll see you have 100ML

I have Dark Aoud coming from them this weekend.  So now, I have that to worry about + the watered down theories.  I was absolutely floored right from the get go with my sample, so I hope it wasn't a big mistake

You dont have to worry about anything. The 100ml bottle contains at least 100ml if not more. See the other thread.

I bet that aluminum can holds 120+ml.

Keep in mind this is not a bottle, and to compare to something glass is hard to do. Take a look at the thickness of the glass compared to the aluminum can that is thin and extremely lightweight.

Also remember, 100ml is 3.3 fl. oz. That is not a lot of liquid.

Auod Lime IMO kicks Black A up and down, I get several compliments daily when I wear it but warning you have to let the dry down take place and that may take up to 3+ hrs. I had Black and sold it because it is not that versatile to me.
