We perfume lovers desperately need more people like Turin who can so easily toggle between their left and right sides of their brains, where he so eloquently expresses his reviews of this most abstract of arts while cutting through the bullshit that many people in the perfume industry produce to propagate hype.
Imagine his pain during the Henri Korn affair and having to wait nearly 20 years to be vindicated. I haven't read the book but I'm sure Burr covered it well
It's actually not really talked about in the book other than a passing "it happened and Luca doesn't like to talk about it." And I'm okay with that.
