Well, not quite . . . what he actually wrote is:

The Penhaligons was actually pretty nice quite a few years ago but the stuff I have tried these last few years is an insipid 'English Fern Lite' - pretty charmless and yeah, 'rough', but what do expect when the IFRA has effectively banned one of the key pillar ingredients? I believe the damage started before IFRA started going on the rampage, though, when the production of Penhaligons stuff was moved or outsourced. There's more info floating around here somewhere, the_good_life wrote pretty extensively about it I think.
If I were you I'd grab the FR talc. I bought some old Guerlain talc recently . . . 80's stuff, Samsara and Chamade, and they're great.
EF talc smells pretty good, BTW - tried it recently but strikes me as ridiculously expensive.Edited by mr. reasonable - 7/27/13 at 11:07am
