I usually buy most of my niche fragrances second hand but i love Aventus so much that i just decided to buy new. What i got was authentic, lot number matches up, i can smell a whole lot of pineapple just by smelling the sprayer, longevity is there..beautiful heavenly dry down...ANYWAY, since i usually buy bottles that are a little less than full what exactly is full? This is what i got...i had to pump it a few times before it would spray.

I'd say almost to the top of the bottle. At least that has been my experience buying Creed bottles brand new. Just as in your photo.
It looks like Creed may have shorted you a couple sprays.
Naw, it's fine. If you had to prime the pump, you can be confident that there is 100ml (or whatever size it is) in there. At least i would hope so.

That does look a bit low.

Usually it full to the shoulders but the neck is empty.

Yes, it looks low to me as well. I haven't noticed any "fill" differences much with the 4.0 oz bottles. They should stop right at the neck of the bottle.

I HAVE noticed differences of the fill level of 2.5 oz bottles, however, as well as 8.4 oz flacons (especially the older ones like Vetiver 1948).

    It does look low.

I would call them and request a replacement bottle along with a 500ml flacon for the inconvenience.

I agree. It's the least they could do...

How the hell is this in the "just starting out" forum lol

Anyway, thanks for the help guys. I did check with the company i bought from and sent pics so they will get back to me. Personally, i just find it weird seeing as everything seemed to spec including having to prime the pump.

Priming the pump doesn't really mean anything... you can just turn the bottle upside down and keep spraying to empty the nozzle.

    Yea,

anything beyond that would be asking for too much.

I recently purchased Aventus from the Creed Boutique online, and my bottle is full. It's also the same batch number.

I'd post a picture of it; however, I don't know how to upload a picture from my phone.

If you had to pump it, I doubt it's been used. So either they didn't fill it up properly (insufficient quality control) or it has evaporated. I've heard stories about a few QC issues at Creed over the years. Maybe they can send you a 5ml sample to make up for it.

Like someone else said, I have seen the 2.5 oz bottle with varying full levels, but not a 4 oz yet.

You definitely got shorted a few sprays

My 4oz bottle i purchased in 2011 was filled to the brim. Also the creed logo is in silver on my bottle, its black now? wtf lol

Ya some are black and some are clear/silver. I am truly starting to think that it is just a QC issue which is disgusting to think when you're paying $200-300 for a bottle of cologne. Take for example my bottle of GIT. My old box of GIT had an accent on the e in Millésime on the front but no accent on the back...people would say that is the way Creed wanted it to confuse people manufacturing fakes but my next bottle came from fragrancenet and the accent was both on Millésime on the front AND the back of the box. I've also owned boxes with no accents on either the front OR the back.
