There are so many threads about perfumes being reformulated and becoming a shadow of their past. And also threads about batch variations from a certain house, especially about one scent in particular whose name will remaine unmentioned by me. But there is one house that makes very, very small batches. Le Labo. They make it on the spot for you. I admit it is fun to watch a man in a lab coat put together componants with beakers, vials, pipettes and scales but I started to wonder what their tolerances are. I also wonder if you happened to mention that a certain note in a scent was loved if the person putting it together might just add a few drops more. There certainly must be some small degree of inconsistancy...just thinking with my fingers. Any thoughts?
