I'm pushing sixty. Skincare, featuring me and all my friends, is a hot topic on the beach walks. I have favoured Gatineau (Melatogenine) in the last couple of years but have recently bought Payot 24 and Josie Marran's Argan Oil. Would ladies of mature years like to contribute their moisturising secrets?

I am 55 and still have normal skin it seems.†† I sat for one of those hand held things that tell you how your skin is doing.

I love Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream which is a sort of light cream/gel texture based on a seaweed.†† I use the night version as well, usually buy from QVC when they have TSV kits.†† I developed mild roseaca so a lot brands I used to use I no longer can.††† I love Argan oil but buy the non branded version you can get 100mls for around £13 on ebay.† Though at the moment I am using NUDE ProGenius Oil at night.†† I got a sample in SpaceNK and loved it.† Then since I had a £10 on my Indulge card decided to buy it.††† At the moment I am using REN Calming serum during the day under my moisturiser.

Neck cream wise I use Marks and Spencer† Age Replenish which totally brilliant and only £12.

Our chief limitation is that we live in New Zealand. We all buy on Strawberrynet, Fragrancex etc but unless you've had a tester you don't always know what you're buying. All the drug store brands are here and occasionally there's Sanctuary by Boots. Local skincare, Trilogy, is good, but we are all in various stages of skin disorder caused by hot flushes and hormonal skin. SPF is not optional even in winter. Combination products are useful. Sometimes serum is better than face cream that melts off, but then we have to consider sun protection.†I believe that Ren products are great.†

I'm using Eucerin which is a French brand really fab stuff and I order from France and have it shipped from monsanteguide.com once a year to my home in Australia. It's the hylauronic day cream with SPF and derma night cream. I also find a gentle retinol serum does wonders as well as twice weekly session with my Clarisonic.

Should also mention its comparable price wise even with shipping costs. I'm a skincare fiend and been on a preventative regime from my mid 20's - the Aussie climate is harsh on skin.

Unfortunately StrawberryNet prices are just stupid in UK sterling.† Really, stuff is more expensive for us than buying in a store locally!!!!!

Clarisonic I have mine since 2009!!!!††† Use it every morning, but only the delicate head.

Gatineau is owned by Revlon since the 90s.

Thank you for the lovely offer from a fellow Antipodean. Our respective countries are so vigilant at border control it's difficult to send things. I will pm you and I thank you again for such kindness
