Dior 'collection privee'

    Dior 'collection privee'

I've come across a seller who is offering a number of fragrances from the Dior 'collection privee' packaged in what look like aluminium flasks. The seller is unsure of the size, but thinks they're around the 50ml mark. Just wondered if anyone had any experience with these products in this format?

Here's an example of what they look like:

They are not normally sold in this size. The container looks vile.

    Looks fake.

Doesn't look like anything I have ever seen and I have all of them. To the OP - Tread carefully!

They are not sold by Dior in an aluminum flask. Only glass bottles in 4.25-oz. or 8.5-oz.

Those are containers used in the purchase and transportation of raw materials in larger quantities; they're actually quite standard and can be inexpensively purchased in bulk. Although it's not the most appealing presentation (and no atomizer), the price is so low on the Privee collection (about $1 per ml) that I'd imagine it's not a line that's knocked off with regularity.

While I'd proceed with caution, it looks like a standard splitter to me, albeit one who cares not for presentation.

Weighing up the pros and cons ..... I think err on the side of caution and not buy this. No telling what is in it.

If he is a splitter he should know the exact amount in each bottle. Ive seen another older Dior in that type of bottle except it was very large and used for refilling bottles. Just ask where he got them and if the price is right I dont see why you shouldnt go for it.

As said, that's a pretty standard aluminum container for shipping raws and finished fragrances from the major houses to the blenders/producers. The label looks like an actual label. I would even wonder if the person offering them has an inside track/access to them (i.e. do they work for the finished product filler) and have pilfered some. Just a thought. thanks rick
