I've searched and I've searched. Has there ever been a post as to how one can recognize a box and bottle of Lagerfeld for Men from 1978-1980?
That's really weird neal. I just tried to quote your post, and it wouldn't let me. You don't have to have a certain # of posts to post pictures, i'm sure the site is just wacky.
head over to http://imageshack.us/ and upload them there, then just post the link here so someone can try to help you!
Here's an eBay auction that shows a picture of the classic version of Karl Lagerfeld cologne.
(I tried posting another image but wasn't permitted to.)
Here's a review of the cologne by Kafka.
I don't think the picture in the review is one of the vintage cologne, though.
The vintage bottle and box from 80's all seem to have the elongated (art deco?) lettering rather than the squared lettering.
First you say you want to know but now you are saying you know? Clarification is necessary here. And how do you know that an early 90s formulation is different and bad? If you want to make such claims you should at least include some explanation !
Sorry. Bottles... I know the look and smell of each (reformulation) - from BethCo.to Coty etc. It's the boxes that I need help with. I still have bottles from 1978, 1981, 1986, 1994 and 2003. What I don't have is the early packaging from 1978- 1986 to be able to identify.
