    Greetings to everybody.

I never though that making perfumes could be done as a hobby, since 3 days I had been reading non stop, and is absolutly captivating.

I found so many resources online, but at some point is really confusing. I will really apretiate if someone of you could tell me where to start. I will really like to buy a kit, that is good enough for a beginner, and will produce a fairly good first try perfume.

Normally I wear hand crafted perfumes, that are fresh, and brings nice thoughts, I like the real smell of flowers or leaves, with a slight touch of citrics.

    Thanks so much.

    Hi there and Welcome!

We have a DIY forum here, and you'd get a better response from some of the folks over there. Several companies sell kits, but it really comes down to what kind of scents you're looking to make and using what kinds of materials.

Head on over to DIY and check out some of the stickies. There's also a great thread on the most commonly used aroma chemicals that'll give you some ideas, too.

You should get a sample of Perry Ellis 18. It is a very fresh yet masculine scent, very long lasting as well! Hope I helped,. Check out my collection sometime and see if that inspires you or helps at all, and let me know if you have questions, I'm a newbie too!

Thanks so much for your answer, did you buy the supplies online? I am in a island so I have to order online. Any online supplier you could recommend me?

I got a few online, I usually get them from the stores, or my local Duty Free Americas shop. I think you can actually look that up online, I don't know if they sell from they're website though, but you can always check. And there is a website called FragranceX.com or Parfume's de's Champs. Or websites!...
