I was looking at these:
- Vetiver Tonka
- HDP 1740
- Amouage Opus VI
- Tobacco Vanille
I'm looking for leathers, spices, sweets, etc. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
From your list, I'd go with 1740, truly leathery and with immortelle. I am not a fan of vetiver tonka, kind of sweetish, neither here nor there, so to speak, and I prefer my vetivers dry and fresh.
But if you want other suggestions for leathers, you could also look into Tom of Finland for a smooth suede, not too butch and good for most seasons.
Thanks for your suggestions guys. I was REALLLLY leaning towards Vetiver Tonka, but ended up getting a good deal on the Opus VI. Even left me with a bit extra to snag DHI and Rive Gauche, haha.
I hear mixed things about Vetiver Tonka, which is why I decided against it. I'll probably grab a decant of it sometime sooner or later. Hopefully the Amouage will serve me well this Fall and Winter.
