For something completely different...I am wearing amber today, Maitre Parfumeur et Gantier Ambre Precieux.
I tried amber scents last year so have a few samples, didn't like any so set them aside. Trying again, as my palette seems to have expanded somewhat, but I still don't like this...It's old people powdery and kind of sour? Sour isn't the right word, but it smells yellow, which I guess is what 'amber' means, so that makes sense - but not bright citrus yellow, not sunshine yellow, yellow like when paper gets old and yellows. Smells like a thrift store, sort of. Anyway, it isn't really good smelling to me, will wait and see what it does as it settles in, but not too hopeful.
