What's the point of em..
Gendarme and a few others...
I hate em!!!!
I could be wrong as musk appears to be a skin scent upon further reading..
I always thought it was a scent that stays close to your skin a very (light scent)..
as I said, I could be wrong...
A matter of preference,as always. There's nothing wrong with something that requires close contact to be smelled.
Musks can be loud too, there's so many of them. But it is true that base notes tend to project less (not least because they've had to endure a couple of hours of evaporation already), whereas top notes explode in a burst before leaving the scene.
There are many situations in which I need to wear fragrances that only I can smell (formal business situations like the boardroom, etc.). As I generally wear fragrances just for me I'll wear my powerhouses just as readily as my skin scents in most other situations and am happy to have some of both in my collection. I am personally more interested in what the fragrance smells like than how far it projects. Now *longevity* is the performance metric that is much more important to me (though I rarely have an issue with that).
