I've heard that "men don't use hairspray," but being a hairstylist I know better.  My question to you, is what is your favorite hairspray and why?  I'm doing some research in hopes of creating the best hairspray for men out there.  I created a quick survey (no account needed) to help make this happen.  If you have a moment, please visit http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/52DDQBM

Nothing better than the cheap $1 Suave hairspray I get at Target and Walmart!

I just went around spraying a bit of hairspray into the can tops till I found two that didn't smell feminine. Both were much better value than the marketed to men ones. One can hold my hair in place during gale force wind, the other isn't as sticky and is more natural, akin to men's ones I've tried, and can withstand a moderate breeze.

Hairspray does not work well for my hair. I use American Crew forming cream and it works well for me. I don't even own a comb or dryer.

When I was young and had a fuller head of hair, I used to reach for something along the same vein as what you mention which was just as inexpensive and it worked fine for me.
