So is it more of a rose scent with some frankincense or vice versa?
I would call it a crafty mix. The rose is prominent, but not like all these oudy roses you smell now. It's actually a kind of milky rose, but there is a spicy incense behind it that gives it excellent texture. In some ways it's like a very old-school version of Rose 31, but with a sartorial/barbershop vibe (obviously that was the intent).
The milkiness grates on me after a while, so I can't wear this more than a day or two in a row. But it's a hugely distinctive scent. I'm very thankful that a fellow BNer (KMF) turned me on to the stuff.
