Good morning all !.
(((Wolfie))), really sorry to hear about your restaurant - sad news indeed.
Kalli, the fires made the news here - very frightening. I hope you get some rain soon.
Glad to hear the Mimiversary went well .
Monsoon conditions here on and off yesterday. Her ladyship was working so I ended up solo sniffing, starting in south London in order to give the Slumberhouse line a whirl. Strange experience, really. I can appreciate them all as compostions, but wearability ?. Not for me. I am glad to have tried them, but none are coming anywhere near my skin again.
Did make a purchase in Fortnums however, coming away with today's SotD -
I'd advise anyone curious to follow ComDiva's example and give this a go. Despite it's masculine leanings I see no reason why the fairer sex shouldn't enjoy it too.
Teardrop, looks like we may have another grey day in prospect so here is something just for you - lounge away
I've got a really exciting day of defrosting the big freezer in the cellar in progress (around the MotoGP race currently running) so I'm indulging myself by smelling of Roma while I do it
Hoping that the fire fighters are all safe and that the weather plays a good part in helping them get the fires in California under control soon.
I've actually teared up it's so bad here. My hubs and I, well we ended up driving about 100 miles to see if we could get away from the smoke a bit, um, no..didn't happen. So we were about 250 miles from the fire...everything blanketed in smoke. We couldn't believe it. Smoke covering everything as far as the eye could see. We thought, even if we drove another 100 miles, we don't think it would make a difference, it's that bad. No disrespect to CA or the CA Fire Dept. but 6 planes and 2,000 firefighters is not going to put out a fire the size of Chicago. My lungs and throat burning, eyes, burning. Dizziness and nausea a good amount of the time. The air quality meter inside my house has dipped to the poor range, several times. This is really a state of emergency and the President needs to step in and *do something*. We need more man power and planes to fight this, we need to put this out.The whole Sierra Nevada range is literally blanketed in smoke. Like I said, we need more man power, now. The President needs to help us over here. There is manpower in the U.S. to put this out, we need more men out there, now. It's only 5% contained because there just aren't enough ppl there. It kinda looks like an end times movie here.
Ok, a little serious of post for sotd, LOL but this is a *bad* situation. I still smell of my Lush Potion pot. lol.
