I just had to go dig out an old Elmer glue bottle sitting in my drawer. May be the glue is old, but I don't detect any similarity. Nor do I detect similarities with the exciting Commes Des Garcons 2011, which must be inspired by non-white glue.
Perhaps the Diorella bottle is a little off? Diorella vintage, as I remember it, is a deep, strong citrus with a fruity, overripe note, over a chypre background. I've also been checking ebay now and then, but the prices are simply out of my range. The current Diorella is a pleasant citrus, but without any of the originality of the vintage.
(Some European brands of white kids glue, instead, smell like heliotrope - a different affair still).
