Jil Sander is launching a new masculine fragrance in September 2013, Jil Sander Ultrasense. Ultrasense  is described by the character of a Jil Sander man: a man of inner strength who is led by his intuition and instincts, a man who radiates unobtrusive confidence and a special, restrained sort of seduction.

The fragrance is elegant and fresh aromatic-spicy. The notes include:

Top notes: bergamot, black pepper, Madagascar berries
    Heart: sage, fir resin
    Base: white musk

The fragrance is available as 40, 60 and 100 ml.
    -----------------------------------

I have methodically collected many of Sander's older, discontinued fragrances but I haven't kept up with the new launches. What are Madagascan berries?

They get a plus for offering a 40 ml option.

Another one to add to my Sander collection. Thanks for the info.

The 'Madagascan berries' might be another name for pink pepper, furrypine?

    Notes are good.
Hope it's not another watered down flop like Eau d'Ilkar.

Eagerly awating this new launch from Sander. All the notes seem most agreeable to my nose. I am thinking Sander for Man with a tab more sweetness provided by the exotic berries . This one looks good enough to blind buy if necessary.

I hate to sound negative ( cue the "Basenotes is for snobs remarks"), but this one really doesn't sound promising. It really is hard to get excited for a white musk dry down ( granted, Bulgari pour Homme was nice when it worked on my skin ages ago). I have a feeling this will be like a lot of releases where the fragrance has that olfactory hook in the opening notes that catches peoples attention and the dry down is quite subtle and ho hum.
