Acqua Di Gio Licorice??

    Acqua Di Gio Licorice??

Hi, so I was shopping around for a new fragrance the other day and tried some different scents at a local store. I had read various forum topics on this site that suggested Acqua Di Gio and Bleu De Chanel, but I was shocked to find that both had a distinct black licorice smell. I'm not sure if this was due to old sample bottles, my lack of knowledge, or if these fragrances are supposed to smell that way. Could someone try to explain this to me? I'm willing to bet that these were old bottles, but I'll wait for your feedback before I make my judgement.

I personally never got any licorice out of either and own both, but I don't have the most discerning nose either.

Okay, I'm going to go ahead and assume it was faulty store samples.. Thanks for the input.

Your guess is probably on target here.

Yeah, I've got both, and I don't get any licorice from either of them (and it's a scent I like to be honest so I think I would notice it.
