package and bottle look exotic, stylish, appealing. i know many here bought this. how do you find it? how sweet is it? too sweet? is it worth?
I like it, for the price I really can't complain, it's sweet but not cloying, as has been mentioned, it is also what many would describe as 'boozy' but not overly so. I get a bit of vanilla and a slight oud-woodnote, haven't worn it in a while though, I think it goes better with cooler weather.
Here is the old thread... Enjoy!
Thank you, Dimitrios -
Your sample of Raghba was so greatly appreciated! It is a wonderful quality scent for the money and smells amazing on my wife's Mediterranean olive skin.
Unisex, but once I smelled its very natural (not too sweet) vanilla-infused incense aroma on her, it was her's...alone.
Raghba is actually a Bakhoor (or Bukhoor) incense fragrance of EdP strength - excellent quality for the price, I feel. Her family used to burn Bakhoor when she was a young child and she remembers the aromas.
Here is a little overview (from Wikipedia): "In most Arab countries, bukhoor is the name given to scented bricks. These scented chips/bricks are burned in incense burners to perfume the home and clothing with a rich thick smoke. This is used specifically on special occasions like weddings or on Fridays or generally just to perfume the house.
The bukhoor is usually burned in a mabkhara, a traditional incense burner (censer). It is customary in many Arab countries to pass bukhoor amongst the guests in the majlis (Arabic مجلس, meaning congregation). This is done as a gesture of hospitality."
Rather exotic, yet also warm & comforting. My wife has received, literally, over a dozen compliments on it. Sensual and wonderful allure.
Vanilla, woody incense...not too sweet or too smoky. Balanced and harmonious. A brilliant blind-buy, but the sample made the purchase so easy. Very good projection for the first hour or so and a long lasting skin scent.
Shipped from the Middle East, the total cost for a 100ml boxed bottle (nice packaging too)...around $35. A steal. Highly recommended.
