Feel free to recommend anything you think I may enjoy.  :D

    I OWN:

    Spring \ Summer:
    Reaction by Kenneth Cole

    Black by Kenneth Cole
    Diesel Fuel for Life Homme

    Fall \ Winter:
    Hypnose Homme by Lancome
Le Male by Jean Paul Gaultier
La Nuit de l'Homme by Yves Saint Laurent
Midnight in Paris by Van Cleef & Arpels
    Spicebomb by Viktor & Rolf

All the spring and summer scents I have worn for years, I recently purchased all the fall \ winter scents though and don't have much experience with them.  (Not sure if I categorized them correctly, just went with what I thought was right for the seasons)

I more or less enjoy all the scents I have tremendously.  JPG Le Male took a few wearings to grow on me, but I still wear and enjoy it, lightly.  Midnight in Paris (EDP) is also one I'm sort of unsure of.  It's not a bad scent, I'm just not sure how I like it on my skin.  Hypnose, Spicebomb and La Nuit are all wonderful though and I definitely plan to wear them this fall.

I think it's sort of obvious that I like sweeter \ gourmand \ fall \ winter scents, but I have samples of a few Creeds, because I was going to try to expand my scents for the warmer months.  I have Millesime Imperial, Aventus, Silver Mountain Water and Original Santal (warmer month scent?)  I also got a sample of A*men Pure Malt, because I hear\read so many great things about it, but it's rather harsh in my opinion.  Is Pure Havane better?  That's the only other A*men flanker that looks interesting to me.

I really want to get Millesime Imperial and Aventus though, I really enjoy both of them quite a bit.  I like SMW okay, the tea note is interesting, but feels sort of sticky on my skin.  Overall I feel like it smells too similar to Millesime Imperial and I enjoy that scent better. I haven't made any solid decisions though on what else to purchase.

I was going to get more samples of (just based on things I've read\heard):

Creed Virgin Island Water (though I've read it's a womans scent)
    issey miyake pour homme
    Dolce and Gabbana Pour Homme
    Pure Havane
    Lolita Lempicka Au Masculin
    Fahrenheit
A Lab on Fire LiquidNight (Possibly blind buy this, because I'm not sure I can sample it.)

Sorry if this seems sort of scrambled and unsorted, I was just jotting my thoughts down!  Thanks to any and all feedback.  I'm looking forward to the cooler months.  I've always just worn the same cologne all throughout the year (Spring\Summer scents) and I'm excited to switch it up this year!

Welcome to you! Perhaps Burberry London or Carbone de Balmain

Mugler's - Pure Malt - Taste of Fragrance for cold weather

GPH 2 is also good for cool weather

Welcome! Possible additional testing suggestions, especially suitable for colder weather may also include: Dior DHI, indeed Mugler Pure Havane - one of the better flankers, in my opinion, not just of AMen, but also of this house in general and CK One Shock.

Sorry it's been a while since I posted. I ended up sampling Burberry London at Sears and it kind of gives me a SpiceBomb feel. Very Christmasy. I plan on ordering a sample of this in my next batch of samples.

I did end up with a bottle of Amen Pure Malt as I finally fell in love with my sample. The beginning is sort of harsh and even medicinal to me, but the dry down is amazing and definitely worth the wait. Also, I landed on a bottle of Rochas Man and Creed Millésime Imperial off of fragrancenet because of the 20% off code. The Creed and Rochas should be here tomorrow. I can hardly wait!

    3 Nice pickups!!

Pure Malt should get a lot of wear with the temps dropping

My guess is that you will like these. They're nice inoffensive scents IMO.

I've been wearing it exclusively since I got it. I almost feel bad for neglecting my other great fall fragrances, but I can't resist.

MI is definitely a great scent. I picked up a decant from cubby. Needless to say it was all used during the warm weather. I will be stocking up come spring, although I will use original vetiver in spring and MI/aventus in summer.

I have two samples of Creed's MI and I absolutely love it! I'm going to rock it next year in the spring and summer months. Not too sure about Rochas Man, but it was such a cheap blind buy I didn't want to pass it up. I'll be sure to post an update tomorrow! smile.gif

MI is very nice and one of my favs. Rochas Man's top note can be a bit harsh, just the first 5-10 minutes but after that it's quite solid. Nice haul. Congrats.

Agreed.  It's not for everybody.  If it's not for you, don't force it on yourself.

    Original Santal (warmer month scent?)

More of a cooler weather scent, but you could wear it for any season.  Just don't spray too much on a hot summer day

I also got a sample of A*men Pure Malt, because I hear\read so many great things about it, but it's rather harsh in my opinion.  Is Pure Havane better?  That's the only other A*men flanker that looks interesting to me.

IMO, Pure Malt is better, but as you said, it will be a bit harsh for some.  Pure Havane is interesting and respectable, but I wouldn't spend money on it.

    For sure!

I like SMW okay, the tea note is interesting, but feels sort of sticky on my skin.  Overall I feel like it smells too similar to Millesime Imperial and I enjoy that scent better.

    Totally understandable.

Creed Virgin Island Water (though I've read it's a womans scent)

unisex.  but some people will think it's a bit feminine for a man.

    issey miyake pour homme
    Dolce and Gabbana Pour Homme

issey is good at the dry down, more than the opening.  i wouldnt buy any DG frags personally
