Hello, this is my first post, and before you read, keep in mind I am a total beginner when it comes to fragrances.
I am looking for a fragrance for this fall and winter. I am a young man in his early twenties living in Canada so we get cold fall and winter. I wore Giorgio Armani Acqua di Gio this summer and have been getting lots of compliments for wearing it (both from women and men alike, even though the latter is not my target audience lol), and the general thought was that it did complement me very well. My bottle is now empty and I would like to recreate the effect it did but with a better suited cologne for the season.
I bought Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb but really didn't like it after a few times wearing it. It just felt like it wasn't me at all. It is way too strong and spicy for me and I felt like it was better for the night. I'm simply looking for a cologne that I could put on in the morning and go through the day with it and that would be also appropriate for the night when I go out or when I have a special occasion or event. So a good longetivity would be good.
I'm a sophisticated yet carefree person. I would like a cologne that's warm, sexy and masculine without being overwhelming since it's not my type really.
I tried a few colognes so far:
D&G Pour Homme: smells good, though I heard the new reformulation is weak (I did notice it didn't last long) but even there, I'm not 100% sure it's appropriate for fall/winter though, but it's my kind of scent.
D&G The One For Men: very nice, longetivity seems ok, just not 100% sure if it's appropriate for the day. It's the kind of scent that would fit me I believe.
YSL L'homme: smells good but a bit generic maybe, seems more appropriate for summer, not sure. La nuit de l'homme is good too seems only appropriate for night (hence the name).
Any Burberry: I tried the most popular Burberry ones (Brit, The Beat, London) and it smells okay I guess but it's not sexy at all. It's masculine but it seems like it's for older men (my opinion).
I would prefer sticking to popular options from known fashion brands since I only have access to a Sephora and I would like to try them before buying.
So yeah, considering all this, can you guys suggest me some colognes?
