Should I ask Ausliebezumduft for a refund?

Should I ask Ausliebezumduft for a refund?

Hi there. Since I left my country Saudi Arabia and consequently missed Creed retailers there, I gave Ausliebezumduft.de a try. I placed an order ofImperial Millesime Eau de Parfum 75 ml for $168.81 plus $31.10 for Shipping and handling. Immediately after 24 hours of purchasing, they sent me a tracking number on the 4th of Sept. that was too fast I thought. But the package is stuck in Germany for 20 days now without any update from DHL. I contacted Ausliebezumduft.de support via email and Facebook and they are trying hard to comfort me with promises only. My question is, what do you think of Imperial Millesime concerning the scent ,projection and silage after all this delay?

    http://nolp.dhl.de/nextt-online-public/set_identcodes.do?lang=en&idc=763461855892&rfn=&extendedSearch=true

    Thank you all from Algiers.

Have Ausliebezumduft or DHL offered you any explanation as to why it hasn't left their home country? DHL especially should be able to shed some light on it after 20 days. What kind of promises are they giving you? If they can't give you any concrete answers, I'd ask for the refund to be initiated.

You had me understanding you until you asked the question

"...what do you think of Imperial Millesime concerning the scent ,projection and silage after all this delay?"

Would the scent, projection and sillage make a difference to how tolerant you're willing to be of their service, or are you asking if the delay will affect the juice itself?

The delay will not effect the scent if that is what you are asking.

I would so advise that you take up the issue with DHL. First in Fragrance (ausliebezumduft) do ship the following day and I have always received my items within 3-4 working days. Considering that domestic mail in the UK can take that long to get from one end of the country to another, I consider this to be outstanding service and incredibly fast shipping/delivery. Would (and do) recommend them to anyone.

To answer your question, I do not think it appropriate to demand a refund in this case. Your shipment will be insured, so if you have still not received it in a couple of weeks, you should contact them and allow them to deal with DHL on your behalf.

I'm sure your scent will be fine. That is the trouble with ordering from a different country - the delay in customs can be frustrating. But I'm sure you will get it soon - and don't worry about the juice.

I just ordered twice from them in the last month - other than a 13 day delay after it shipped out (next day), everything was perfect. Good company to order from.

I ordered from them once and it took at least 30 days to arrive and the tracking never updated. I blame it on DHL. No you should not ask for a refund.

Asking for a refund should produce some action, Mansour!

I've never known Ausliebezumduft to be anything other than reliable and honest. I think EU countries have recently tightened rules on shipping perfume overseas, so that may account for the delays. I wouldn't ask for a refund, but then I'm quite patient!

I have no opinion about Imperial Millesime itself.

I wouldn't personally accept that answer, Mansour, especially since the tracking appears to show that it's still in the country of origin.

Thank you. But what can I do now? Wait for another week and then ask for a refund or what? I feel I'm in the middle of no where!!

You can probably call your credit card company and contest the payment. I would wait to see if you can get the refund from ausliebezumduft first though.

If it were my order, Mansour, I'd ask for either a current location of the package or a refund and give them 48 hours to come back with an acceptable solution.

Hope it sorts out - these things usually do if caught soon enough!

DHL is causing the problem, not ALZD.

    Read the last update:

The shipment will be transported to the destination country and, from there, handed over to the delivery organization. (Homepage / online shipment tracking:http://www.poste.dz)

It seems like poste.dz owns the package now.

You might want to use their site to track the package.

Watch out with spreading your Tracking link, because it contains personal information.

Good advice, Supressor - thank you.

Moving to the Shopping section as it's Off Topic to MFD.

But that does not say it has been handed over to the destination country. The package may be assigned a poste.dz number, but this does not mean that it has arrived.

The DHL tracking will show it has arrived in destination country and has been handed over.

I have been through this twice with DHL (German Post) and it took over a month on one occasion and 27 days on another for it to finally be transported to the US and handed over.

Bottom line, DHL Packet is terrible, but unfortunately for places like FIF, it is the only alternative other than an air shipment.

I am so puzzled by the experiences that my fellow Basenoters have had with DHL and their DHL Paket. I have never experienced any longer wait than 7 days from shipment to my door from FIF. Could my good fortune be that that there are many non-stop flights from Frankfurt to the city I'm closest to, or that the largest inbound US Customs facility for small package freight on the East Coast is a city close to where I live and therefore the transfer to the USPS which is located inside the Customs facility is effortless facilitating easy delivery to my residence?

As for the OP, the curious thing is why it has been in Germany for so long if in fact that is the problem, or is it in Algeria and the problem lies somewhere between the arrival in the destination country and the handover to the local postal service in class="
