I am finding myself somewhat intrigued with pepper based fragrances with Ormonde Man right at the forefront. Tell me what you guys think about this fragrance.
Not a fan of the genre. To me, it smells like the poorer, more synthetic brother of Ormonde woman. Which is not my genre either, but I can appreciate the beauty nonetheless. So, if forced to choose, I'd go with the woman.
That said, if one likes modern, semi-aquatic masculines, there's probably nothing better.
A really invigorating blast of fresh spicy juniper berries and bergamot which leads into a spicy creamy heart of woods and pepper. Mixed in with this is the oud and cardamom and other spices.
I found that this scent comes alive more when you are in the open walking about then when you are just sitting inside. On a breeze it unfurls into a amazing haze of subtle green sappy spices and creamy woods that surrounds you. Added to this is the oud and hemlock notes giving the scent a added air of mystery.
A very good enigmatic fragrance but one that gets better the more you wear it and notice it's subtleties.
