I normally do not write a review but my first timeshopping experience at The Perfume Shoppe, Vancouver forces me to. All I've gotta say about this shop is that it was amazing with an extremely friendly shop owner.

I feel lucky enough to be living in Vancouver, where the shop is based. I heard about The Perfume Shoppealso from Basenotes when I was browsing through the finalist list forBasenotes Reader Awards 2013. I browsed through its website and I was pretty impressed by what it had. It has almost every big names that I have been looking at in the niche' market.

So I made a trip there, hoping to get the Red Vetiver from Montale. I was welcomed by a very nice woman, Nas. After listening to my talking about the perfumes that I was looking for, she went on with her recommendations carefully. She was one of the most honest salespersons I've ever met. Despite seeing my excitement after sniffing the Amouage Lyric Man, she recommended me against the house, saying that it was not suitable for me at this age. And I felt so as well. I was really impressed because normally, who would miss the chance when they are about to makeat least 200 bucks rather than just 100?

So I went on and purchased the Montale Red Vetiver, which we both found to be a very nice and suitable scent for me and Vancouver's climate.I could see that shewas really passionate about perfumes. When I tried on the Serge Lutens Chergui on my skin, she asked me to go outside to have my own space to enjoy the beauty of it. Though after that I got my Montale and left, I knew that I would come back to this store. It made my favourite.

If you, perfume lovers, have the chance to be in Vancouver, you've gotta get to this shop. Seriously!

I was at the Vancouver Shop once many years ago. She is a delightful and knowledgeable person. I remember her telling me how she grew up in Zanzibar smelling all the spices and scents that made up her environment and and then later moving with her family to Canada. She was the one who originally got me interested in Montale.
