I bought a bottle of Gucci Made to Measure a few weeks back. I didn't open it and found a bottle on eBay for $40 compared to the $91 I spent in stores. I was going to take it back and get Terre D'Hermes and Bleu De Chanel. Only problem is Bleu De Chanel is expensive. Any ideas on a BDC substitute?

Here's a recent thread - the 'search' function turned up more, but this was the first - hope it helps!

Thank you. From what I've read it seems like the YSL L'honme Libre and Dior Homme Sport are the best options. Both can be found on eBay with 100ml for around $55. I was kinda hoping for something around $40 but I guess I've gotta take what I can get.

Believe it or not I actually liked it. I am a fan of the original Guilty fragrance by Gucci. I smell a little Luna Rossa and something else mixed in there. It just kinda stuck out to me. Everyone's nose is different and I know the Made to Measure frag got horrible reviews but I enjoyed it.

Do you have a suggestion for the topic? Insulting my taste in fragrances is always fun and you are more than open to your opinion on any fragrance. So what would you say is a substitute or alternative to Bleu De Chanel?

Hey -- our tastes differ widely, that ain't gonna change, so you probably won't like my suggestions

But that's alright --just buy what you like

I urge you to get an $80 fragrance you really love rather than a $40 one you won't. Even if finances is rough, you'll come across $40 more dollars again, but if you buy something just because it's cheap you'll regret once you realize what you could have gotten.

A fragrance is something that can last you years. And in time, the investment will be worth it.

If you love Bleu de Chanel. Save up money for another week and get Bleu de Chanel. Period.

You could buy 9 bottles of this and then spend the rest of your life hating it. Or you could wait and save your money and get the real deal, which would be the route I would take. I'm sure whichever you decide will be right for you.
