    Hi,

First time joining this world of fragrances, and I start the discussion with  a big issue here in Athens-Greece-due crisis[and before crisis],about the policy that follows the  fragrance [and other] department stores[not exist anymore small beauty stores],to increase the profits cheating the fool customers.

    For example,you ask the SA about ALLURE HOMME[BIG LOVE-indeed],for the 150ml size-the price,her answer-today you're very lucky,cause Chanel has 10% discount,and from 100 Euros,only 90 or 85 for today[very good price for Chanel and for the size],so far ,so good.

You leaving without buying ,but keep in your mind the price, and wait for the big sale weekend to buy your beloved frag.

The big day comes and you almost pee your pants from desire you got the money ang goes for it.

    And then the big disapointment!!

ask for the price and the SA,answers to you[ for the same frag as above],from 125 or 130 Euros[free market] and- 25 % sale for you only 100 Euros!!!

For a moment my friends,I loose my temper and thought to crash the testers to her head, but  the other moment when my blood goes down of my head, leave the mall, and swear myself to buy online from now on with great- trully- prices, everything I like.

Here in Athens-Greece there are depertments stores as SEPHORA,GALLERIE DE BEAUTE, notos galleries and the best of all HONDOS CENTER[like MACYS-or NORDSTROM[sorry for any spell error].

    Did anyone faced something equal?

First Welcome to you Mirmidon! I haven't experienced the same thing personally that you have but what I would say to you is you're probably better off making your fragrance purchases online like you say. It would most likely save you a lot of aggravation in the future.

That's illegal practice here in Oz. Companies still sometimes try to get away with it, but you can report them to the Dept of Fair Trading if they advertise the 'was' price as a figure for which they never really sold the item.

Shame you guys don't have similar legislation.

I think its probably illegal here also and Ive never seen it done at established stores. Ive seen smaller store make up original prices. Like "Originally $110, marked down to $75!!"  When the actually original price is only $80. Pretty sure Perfumania does a lot of this. People think they are getting a good deal on the $50 Tommy Bahama.

It happens online a lot too. Just learn to shop around and find the best price.

About ''reporting'',yes in somewhere else will done the right thing, but here there is the answer ready''the customer confuse the price'',and everybody are ''happy''.

They ask for 50 ml frag, 60 euros at least -no matter if is azzaro chrome which can find it online 30 euros for 125 ml.

    STEAL!!!
