Is anyone wearing/liking this one? Don't hear much about it. Is it that bad? Or just, meh? I like all the others from the pure line(haven't smelled coffee), and the original A*Men is a favorite in my wardrobe. I think they had it at Macys' last time i was there. Guess I'll have to go sample it.

I think it was overated when it was introduced last year. It can be purchased for half the price now. Check fragrancenet. I have it and wear it during the fall and winter months. OK fragrance IMO, but there are many others out there if you're looking for the leather vibe.

To my nose, it seemed very similar to the original, that is, not much added leather. In any case, good, as the original.

A up and down scent for me..

    somedays it's ok..

    other days it wreaks..

I would not blind buy it..

The other Pure's are great and Taste of Fragrance magical

I own it and like it as I do all the others in the line.

I read a review once that said it was like wearing A*Men inside of a shoe store. Take out the tar note and that's pretty much it. I blind bought it along with pure malt. Wasn't too impressed but I do like it more than A*Men. I plan on selling/swapping it soon.

I have a bottle of it that I bought when it came out still haven't opened.

I'm kind of worried I won't like, so I figure just leave it sealed as a collector's item.  It's funny that sjg3839 says it was overrated when it came out--I just remember it getting bashed. Guess it depends on who you're paying attention to.

Very doubtful if this will become / attain the cult status of either Pure Havane or Pure Malt.

A decent Amen with a mild leather combo to me; own it, like it too; but it cannot be considered to compete with other grt leathers around...

No, I meant as a collector's item more in the sense of having the complete line of A*Men flankers sealed in boxes. I don't expect it to ever reach the level of Pure Coffee. In fact, I imagine it will steadily fall in price if it hasn't already.

I bought it blind when it came out. Not horrible, but smells like a sneaker with the leather/rubber scent. I was hoping for a much better leather scent from them.

I see your point...I own the a*men, malt, havane & cuir - somehow never felt that I should even try pure coffee - i mean i love espresso's & I just don't want to smell like one.

I do not think it's overrated at all. The opening is bold and dirty, really animalic. Although the DNA is there, I find it a different enough vibe when I wear it. Many people feel it's too close to the original, but I feel that is one of those generalities that got out of hand, almost an internet pile-on phenomenon started by people who couldn't accurately describe what they were smelling and the subtleties, so they just said it smells a lot like the original. Well yeah, most have a similar feel in some way or another. It's really good stuff and a nice element of change in relation to the other flankers. For $55 or whatever, it's a steal. If people would really smell Cuir and the original next to one another but not at the same time, they'd notice many differences. The supply definitely outweighed the demand for Pure Leather (Ciur) but that is only because the amount of flankers is increasing each year. At some point, it's becoming saturated. To me that doesn't deter from the fragrance at all. Havane was a huge hit, Pure Malt a really huge hit, Pure Coffee a cult hit in that the supply wasn't there and it was the first legitimate A*Men flanker, and obviously the original was a home run. Leather and A Taste are excellent offerings, but I think in most people's eyes, they just don't offer as much of a perceived change from the original to warrant large universal purchases. There are differences there, but when people already own three or four, they really want something different. I highly recommend Cuir.

While I don't think it's overrated, I don't think there's anything particularly special about it along the same lines as Pure Havane/Pure Malt.  Wasn't really a big fan of it when I first smelled in last winter, but I should probably try it again.
