Should I trust this amazon seller?

Should I trust this amazon seller?

Im really set on getting a bottle of the vintage dior home ( not the intense, I already have that). Now I contacted an amazon seller called perfumes to go. I emailed them about a 3.4 ounce dior home they have in fact 2 bottles. It is labeled original, original. I emailed them and got a few responses to see if they were aware of the reformulated versions. I asked about the batch code or picture proof to see if it was legit. The person said they are not authorized to tell me the batch code number and said they can assure me it is original and sealed and the codes are all the same on the ones they have. price is 60 dollars plus about 4 dollars shipping. Now as far as my knowledge goes, why would you need authorization to reveal a batch code? All that does is allow someone to see when the fragrance bottle was manufactured. I also told them about the silver collar and silver straw that goes into the bottle being the original and black being the new. Should I trust this and buy the bottle?

At that price, it's probably worth a shot. $64 shipped for a 100ml bottle of DH is a great deal no matter which version you get.

I'd give it a shot also as long as you could return it if you're not completely satisfied.

well guys I received the package today and figures batch code 3003 (January 2013) no wonder this seller would not tell me the batch code erhhemmm asshole!. That's way passed the reformulation date. Is there a chance it could be the original? I don't even want to open this.

So you got a brand new bottle of Dior Homme for $64... yeah, what an asshole that seller is! :rolleyesold: Have you even smelled the original vs current or are you just going by what you've read? I recommend you check out this thread... it's for DHI, but I suspect there would be similar results for DH.

Well my point is i was cheated upon recieving a vintage bottle. I contact the seller and i dont think they understand. This is what i said-This is not vintage dior homme, the batch code is 3003 so it was manufactured january 2013. This is the reformulated version. I am very dissapointed. I also informed them that the original has a silver straw which he or she informed me that it does have, then i got this response.

Ivan this items is 100% original . dior has four items dior homme
    1- dior homme (silver ring)
2- dior homme sport ( black ring)
    3- dior homme intense
    4 - dior homme cologne
All items have different batch code

What makes me mad is that when i requested the batch code of the 2 bottles they had left, the person refused to tell me them because they are not authorized? Really?

If you're unhappy, suggest returning it with a polite note.

Still haven't answered the question - have you actually smelled the 'vintage' Dior Homme and can tell the difference, or are you just going by online hype?

And nothing they said was wrong... it is 100% original. Original is not the same as vintage. Also, they were prob referring to the silver/black ring meaning the collar, not the stem. Lastly, I just looked at the auction and you were assuming it was vintage because they used a stock picture with the silver stem (it even says CLEARLY: Packaging for this product may vary from that shown in the image above)?

Either way, you got a BNIB bottle of Dior Homme about as cheap as you could possibly get it. Not sure what the fuss is all about.
