I find myself interested in these, maybe it's the cooler weather and somehow that feels cozy. So what are your favorites and why?
Well, I must first admit that the milk note is what finally turned me off of it, but I used to love Ava Luxe's Love's True Bluish Light. It's a sweet, musky and milky vanilla over a bit of amber. She also has one called simply Milk, also with notes of milk, vanilla, and musk, but I haven't smelled it, and a very rich and sweet gourmand called Crème Brûlée which smells exactly like you'd expect with vanilla, caramel and milky notes. And the last one that comes to mind is Madeline, which is spicy and milky and smells exactly like Chai to me. There might actually be a few others, too; Serena Ava Franco, the perfumer, does milky notes very well.
You can check them all out here, if you like:
I was procrastinating on reviewing Matriarch's Coco Blanc as I'm really not into chocolatey gourmands and I feared the worst, but to be honest, this one comes across as very milky with a low-level, slightly boozy vanilla involved too. Frankly I was surprised by how well done it was.
The other suggestion -- and I mean this without a trace of irony or contrarianism -- is Sécrétions Magnifique. Despite what you might have read, it really does have a great milk note that can work well on certain people's skin. There's other stuff in it too (some floral / fruit notes and the notorious metallic effect), but the milk is quite prominent.
