But man 'o man this stuff blew me away when I sprayed it...immediately I thought of Allure edition Blanche. Which I've always wanted, but wasn't going to part with $90 for a bottle. So I ran over and grabbed my Chanel tester and sprayed Blanche on my other hand to compare. And although they are not the exact same(Chanel is more sharp/sour starting off, and the Samba goes more into sweet gourmand territory on the dry down IMO)this $11 bottle of Samba still gives off a lovely, not to mention realistic...delicious creamy sweet lemon scent(or even lime perhaps?)that lasts for most of the scents duration! And eventually fades into a sweet/slightly spiced vanilla base....very nice!
It never once have me a headache/nausea from a overly synthetic vibe that something like Thallium Black has a tendency to do to me over time. And I have to credit a couple of the Basenoters here you have wrote reviews of this virtually unknown gem....since there isn't much info to be found on it. But for less than $12 bucks, I'm amazed how good this smells and outlasts the Chanel in terms of longevity and projection. It also makes me wonder how good the rest of the line is from Perfurmer's Workshop.(zipped line?) I won't be needing that bottle of edition Blanche after all, thanks Basenotes!
