Habit Rouge EDT: When it popped I liked it. Top notes have a good lemon note that unfortunately lasts only seconds. Soon I get a kind of vanillic-mossy-lemon smell that lasts and lasts. Maybe this is the leather? I don´t know... The problem with Habit Rouge is that I get a lot of analogy with the smell of “pressed face powder” of old ladies and that hardens for me to identify the notes or the beauty on it. Habit Rouge also stinks; even after bath i can smell it. Maybe I will change my mind, but until now, i can’t enjoy.
Monsieur Balmain: This is a great surprise! I read I review telling MB was a good alternative to Hérmes Eau D’Orange Verte. I agree. The opening is very realistic, like a lemon zest. Then it progress to the lemon verbena, which gives a great mature vibe to the scent. Sometimes you may pick up some woody notes, but the scent it's all about lemon. Very good for summer. All barbershop type of scent lovers shoud try this. I also accept some more suggestions like it ( maybe monsieur de Givenchy?).
Other things: the frozen effect of the glass is a painting applied over a transparent glass. The spray is not potent and it spreads (that’s why some say it is faulty, I suppose).
