Omani perfume house, Amouage, have announced the launch of two new fragrances. The prestigious house, which was founded by the Omani Royal Family, has called the two new offerings Reflection Man and Reflection Woman. The feminine fragrance has been crafted by Maurice Roucel, the nose behind Hermès 24 Faubourg, Rochas Tocade and Guerlain Insolence among many others. The fragrance opens with notes of water violet, purple freesia and tropical green leaves. The heart contains magnolia and jasmine followed by basenotes of amber, cedarwood and sandalwood.
The masculine offering shares Reflection Woman's warm, woody basenotes of cedarwood and sandalwood but also contains patchouli and vetiver. It differs however in its spicier opening of red pepper berries, rosemary and bitter orange leaves. As with Reflection Woman, Reflection Man has a floral heart, this time orris, jasmine and neroli. Refelection Man has been created by Lucas Sieuzac who has designed fragrances for Emporio Armani, Givenchy, Mavive and Biotherm.
Both fragrances are presented in traditional Amouage style. The bottle for the female fragrance was inspired by the dome of the Ruwi Mosque in Muscat and the bottle for the masculine fragrance by the Khanjar, the ceremonial dagger worn by Omani men. The bottles are based on those originally created for Amouage by Asprey of London.
Reflection Man and Reflection Woman will be available in 50ml bottles of EDT and EDP respectively. The price for Reflection Woman is £95 and Reflection Man £80, and the fragrances will be available from Amouage stockists worldwide.
