FiFi Award Trophy designer, Denis Boudard creates packaging for Horizon - New from Esprit
Esprit has selected French designer Denis Boudard, President and Founder of QSLD Design Group and designer of the new FiFi Award Trophy, to design the bottle and outer packaging for its latest male/female fragrance duo– Esprit Horizon.

Her Horizon is made for the woman who is confident, caring and generous. Her fragrance reflects her wide-open embrace of life using essences from around the world to create a spicy-sensual floral. His Horizon spans all latitudes and longitudes. Across the globe he is fluent in the language or looks and gestures. This leathery -oriental scent perfectly embodies the Esprit Horizon man.

Coty asked Denis Boudard to capture the essence of the combining of two worlds in the design for the Horizon fragrances. Boudard and his crew were inspired by the images of the sun settling on the horizon in different locations around the world; the Mediterranean Ocean, the desserts of the Southwest, the quiet lakes of the US Midwest. They wanted to create two bottles that fit together as a pair and that both reflected this idea of the horizon.

Her Horizon is red bottle that naturally fits in the hand. It has contrasting matte and glossy finishes with smooth, rounded edges. His Horizon is a masculine green graphite bottle that resembles the sun settling on the surface of a peaceful lake. The bottles mirror each other in shape, like two sides of the globe sharing the same sun.

"Esprit is an international company that has been able to transcend borders. We wanted the Horizon bottles to reflect this feeling of a world without borders. By using the idea of the horizon we were able to capture a strong graphic image that naturally conveys all that Esprit stands for as a company," says Boudard.

The outer packaging reflects the horizon lines created by the bottles, and the globe shaped travel stamp enforces the idea of a borderless planet. end of article
