Gaultier's Fleur du Male hits the UK
UK: This week sees the launch of Jean Paul Gaultier's second masculine fragrance, Fleur du Male. The name of the fragrance is a play on Les Fleurs du mal (The Flowers of Evil), a volume of poetry by Charles Baudelaire.

The Fleur du Male fragrance, created by renowned perfumer Francis Kurkdjian, is based on a deceptively innocent white flower, orange blossom. Traditionally, Orange blossom has been used in colognes and feminine fragrances.

The Fleur du Male bottle is modelled on that of Le Mâle. For Jean Paul Gaultier, this was an obvious move: "The Fleur du Male bust is immaculate. Sensual, solid and virile, it radiates a deep, fresh, pure and absolute whiteness , as well as a touch of irreverence. Everything is blatantly laid bare, the hidden message being 'nothing to hide'".

Jean Paul Gaultier Fleur du Male is available as Limited Edition Eau de Toilette 40ml (£27.00), Eau de Toilette 75ml (£35.00), Eau de Toilette 125ml (£47.00) and Deodorant Stick 75g (£15.00).end of article
