Lancôme and the design duo Rag & Bone have teamed up to create a light-weight, limited-edition Carbon Free t-shirt. The shirt is made in North Carolina of 100 percent organic cotton and comes in two colors: Cloud and Carbon. Only 150 of these t-shirts will be available (sizes: small, medium and large) exclusively at www.lancome-usa.com . All profits will go to the environmental organization Carbonfund.org. Suggested retail price is $50.

As previously reported - through Carbonfund.org, Lancôme has “offset” the environmental impact of its spokesmodels’ travel, planted 10,000 trees and the four Lancôme boutiques went “carbon free” starting on Earth Day 2007. At Lancôme headquarters in New York, a number of recycling and energy-saving initiatives are underway.
