The company responsible for The X Factor, Fremantle Media, have joined forces with ScentUps to create a range of male and female fragrances in an attempt to capture the wave of celebrity mania. With such a huge market for all things celebrity, The X Factor range aims to tap into the perceived public need for glamour and glitz with its teenage aspiration inspired names and kitcsh packaging. There are three feminine fragrances and one masculine.
Two of the fragrances - Day Dream and Night Star - are available in two sizes. The 10ml handbag size retails for around GBP£3.99 and the 50ml bottle for around GBP£9.99.
The eau de parfum is also available in two fragrances, The X Factor for Him and The X Factor for Her, and a 30ml bottle retails for around GBP£19.99.
Gift boxes are available in Day Dream and Night Star, containing body lotion, shower gel and a 50ml bottle of fragrance. Gift boxes retail for around GBP£14.99.
This launch follows the release of a previous reality show fragrance, American Idol, in the United States, which has now been discontinued.
