Morris Profumi pick up Atkinsons from Procter & Gamble
by Grant Osborne, 10 December 2007

Atkinsons, famous for its English Lavender fragrance and the I Coloniali bath range, was founded in London in 1799 by brothers, James and Edward Atkinson. The company was acquired by Lever Brothers (now Unilever) in the early 1900's. Wella acquired the company from Unilever in 2002. Procter & Gamble acquired Wella in 2005.
Giovanni Borri, Morris CEO, said that Atkinsons would enable them to strengthen its position on the market. ![]()
