Erwin Creed not to become TV star

A sad day for Erwin Creed admirers. Creed, 27, the seventh generation of the House of Creed perfumers, has declined an offer from Philadelphia-based Banyan Productions to have his life made into a reality series.

Though Creed described as "interesting" the idea from Banyan (which produces the home-renovation hit show "Trading Spaces" and others), Creed said his clients, including members of royal houses, would balk at having TV cameras arrive along with their perfumer.

Adam Brecht, Creed's US spokesman adds, "In any event, it's debatable whether camera crews could have kept pace with young Mr. Creed, who travels almost constantly to buy ingredients for fragrance, always adding his favorite passions into his travels: sky diving, boxing, race car driving and helicopter skiing. Banyan Productions may want to consider the rejection a blessing in disguise: Mr. Creed flipped and destroyed his Lotus automobile in a road race last year, narrowly extricating himself from the wreck"

In other Creed news, sixth-generation master perfumer and CEO Olivier Creed, an accomplished polo player, is the only citizen of France inducted into the Walk of Fame at the National Museum of Polo in Lake Worth, Florida. The Creed company's fragrance-making operations are based in the woodsy Fontainebleau region of France, and OIivier Creed maintains a stable of horses just five miles away.

Adam Brecht, Vice President for Corporate Communications for Creed North America, was also inducted into the Walk of Fame at the National Museum of Polo. Brecht plays polo each season in the Argentina and in the U.S. He has been working to create a Creed polo team to compete in Europe. end of article
